More than just an astonishing musical left-turn, To Feel Embraced is an LP of unabashed joy. From the opening sampled big band explosion of ‘You Go Girl!’ to the nigh-instrumental hip-hop-meets-free jazz squall of ‘Oh No You Did Not!’, there’s a nary a sound on this record that doesn’t invite a massive grin of pleasure.
