When Fever Ray writes a love song, it’s got to include a little bit of the “absurd and grotesque” by their own admission, and so they enlist an army of remixers to further tease out the darker side of the Radical Romantics single ‘Carbon Dioxide’. DJ HARAM throws the track into a clubby underworld with bouncing beats and noisy synths like swerving tyres, Equiknoxx add a woozier slant via acidic synths and slinky, electrified techno rhythms, and God Colony splinter things in wholly different directions with shaking, swishing drums and a chugging bassline.
