Los Angeles multi-hyphenate Flying Lotus made his return to the big screen with the recent horror release V/H/S/99. The film takes a reliably grim look at the late 90s, and was co-directed, co-written, and scored by Flying Lotus. His segment of the film (which is splintered into 5 distinct sections), entitled “Ozzy’s Dungeon” takes place on the set of a children television show, and his soundtrack additions play loosely of that theme, landing somewhere between in-show jingles and deranged electronic keyboard preset songs. With titles like ‘Catch The Meat’ and ‘Battle On’ these happy-go-lucky tunes take on a sinister tone, as there’s something deeply uncanny about their canned pep.
