Born from an ephemeral project of constantly shifting tracklists, Human Remains picks up from Rolando Simmons’ vibrant Human Touch LP earlier in the year. Equal parts corrosive and emotive, the EP kicks off with sizzling beats and deep resonating kicks on the ‘CV Beszállás Edit’ of ‘Human Touch’, settling into a dreamy state of soft dance catharsis. From there, things move increasingly to leftfield as detuned and frazzled acid synths are glued together by a steady beat on ‘Duelling Parrots’, and frenetic synths and metallic rhythms ripple throughout ‘Elenaya Bay’ to dizzying effect.
