Rolando Simmons returns to 030303 Records after a steady run of sun-soaked acid jams on Analogical Force, and once again, he’s injecting the genre with the buoyancy and character of its early days. Delusions begins on fine form with the bubbly title track, which then leads into the strident machine-induced groove of ‘Oceanic MS-20’. When all’s said and done, ‘Earthshine (Sleep Edit)’ sees Simmons at his most playful, turning a cartoonish snare hit into a certified banger.
