A reissue of the solo debut of Stephen Hitchell, one half of Detroit based duo Echospace, originally released back in 2009 and now available on vinyl for the first time. The Seduction of Silence, continues to explore the dub inflected take on minimal techno that characterised Hitchell’s past work as Echospace. There are certain aesthetic similarities to Basic Channel sub-label Rhythm & Sounds - frequent collaborator Paul St. Hilaire also features on the two of the album’s tracks. But Hitchell’s production is much warmer in tone, tending more towards dub than it does techno.
