Swedish producer Shielding showcases some lusciously left field and downtempo on his Wisdom Teeth debut. Collecting Seaweed EP collates the diverse sounds Shielding has been producing over the past two years, under the moniker Okând Konstnär and others, and constitutes his most painterly and self-assured set of tunes to date. The atmospheres of ‘Dunsta’ and ‘Grass Snow Rain’ recalled washed out dub techno by the likes of Basic Channel and SND, while the entire second side from the wonky beat of ‘Reserv’ through the sun kissed synths of ‘111 Ways’ makes for some dappled summery tunes indeed.
