In a turn away from the micro-processed, complex IDM structures Clark has become synonymous with, the 2007 Throttle Promoter EP sees the English man serve up four cuts of industrial grade experimental electro. ‘See See’ gets things going, leading the way with a frazzled electro bounce that gradually gets rougher and rougher whilst ‘Dirty Pixie’ is a jumpy, eardrum-pummeling piece. On the other side, we find the forceful ‘Kin Grif’ with its frayed snares and energetic breaks and finally the more subdued ‘Gaskarth/Cyrk Dedication (Tape)’ that acts as a welcome respite from the lunacy of the previous tracks.
