Mississippi prove they’re still at the top of their game with this faithful, tip-on sleeve reproduction of Chrissy Zebby Tembo and the Ngozi Family’s ‘My Ancestors’. Originally released in the heyday of Zambia’s psychedelic rock phase, the original album is basically one of the most sought after of its kind. Fuzz guitar, wah-wah pedals and joyously amateur singing alike! There is something particularly charming about this album that makes it stand out above some of the other Zambian stuff that Egon at Now Again etc have also been reissuing. Repress arriving just in time for the summer!
