Haar features some brilliant minimalist artwork from our friend Craig Gallacher and sporting thirteen compositions that span ambient synth, rhythmic meanderings and nostalgia-tinged electro works, Haar is one of the best records we’ve had in this year. As evocative of the Scottish mountains as it is the fog-soaked village streets that surround them, the pieces on Haar oscillate between hauntingly familiar and distinctly transient. Added electronica motifs and distant drum clatterings guarantee this one will be on repeat from the moment the needle drops.
