The second full-length LP from Acid Pauli - member of the Notwist, founder of Rote Sonne, and OG DJ - bristles with invention. In his quest to flip techno inside-out, the man born Martin Gretschmann pushes out into the realm of experimental electronica on these eight tracks. Only about half of the cuts have drum grooves, and when they do it they are often jerky and distorted. Gretschmann instead encourages the listener to focus on the rich array of synth-and-sample textures he wields across the album. Thick dubby bass is present on many of the efforts, and atop this he layers swelling chords, crackling keyboard leads and a cornucopia of synth sounds.
