YPY is Koshiro Hino, from Osaka, Japan. Previous releases on Nous, EM records and his own label BirdFriend, Koshiro now presents the ‘2020’ LP, out on Where To Now? Records. 2020 is broad, original and experimental, but never alienating. It changes mood gradually, in organic waves. It reaches the abstract corners of experimental techno in ‘Mass’, before bringing the record back to the calm with the minimal chords of ‘Soup’.
