Bleep

The third album from Innode seeks to shake up the group’s practice once more by delving even further into abstraction and irregular structures. Grain tends toward the ephemeral and ever morphing: kinetic drum beats burst in and switch out just as quickly for synthetic susurrations, contrasting against dense shifting swarms of distortion, a fusion of organic and mechanical. The skittering, resonating percussion of ‘Air Liquide’ punctuates swells of feedback and sawing synths, as fractal musical expressions branch off into glitching interludes and throttling peaks, followed by tracks accumulating masses of clustered rhythms and wavering harmonic detours.
