Over the past few years, one of the most time-forgotten sonic innovators of 80s rural America has been receiving a great deal of well deserved recognition. Producing a slew of albums both collaboratively and as a solo artist, Kerry Leimer operated the obscure Palace of Lights label from his home in the Pacific Northwest over the course of a decade or so. ‘Closed System Potentials’ was one of the more popular records in the labels back catalogue, and has been reissued several times since its 1980 debut.
