Originally landing in 2015, Jonny Nash’s second release for his Melody As Truth label gets a repress, bringing the shimmering, sanguine tones of this luscious mini album back to life. Exit Strategies focusses on Nash’s solo guitar work, at times minimal and intimate, at others soaked in ambience and layered textures. Wavering retro tones on ‘Exit One’ eventually become razed with placid percussion lying underneath. Zither-like plucks breeze along the laxly revolving ‘Exit Three’, while ‘Exit Six’ stand out in the largely instrumental tracklist with velvet, cloudy vocals to sink into.
