Following the successful triptych of Jodorowsky soundtracks beautifully orchestrated by Finders Keepers, Light In The Attic present Kurt Stenzel’s spellbinding electronic soundtrack to the 2013 cult documentary Jodorowsky’s Dune. The documentary tells the tale of the Chilean director’s ambitious and ultimately unsuccessful attempt to adapt Frank Herbert’s sci-fi classic Dune for cinema. Stenzel’s musical score essentially sounds very much like what one might imagine the not-to-be cosmic epic might have sounded like, an outer-planetary collection of grandiose synthesiser textures sourced from the conventional Juno 6 to the relatively unconventional Nintendo DS. Also featuring is the Spanish rasp of Jodorowsky’s own voice, make this a must for film and OST buffs alike.
