Multi-instrumentalist Chris Weeks dons his Kingbastard moniker again for this mini-album following up on the Amitriptyline Dreams he released in February. Maintaining a lot of the stylistic tendencies of its predecessor, DATA is a beguiling workout of ambient, IDM and minimal techno composition. With some beat-driven moments like Data_Ctrl and Data_Loss sitting alongside thick works of ambience like Data_Bios and Data_Strm, the release really showcases the versatility and creative capability of Weeks when he takes on this alias.
