One year after The Lost Tapes appeared on Strut, Barely Breaking Even dig out Behind The Curtain – The Lost Album by Romanian mastermind Rodion Ladislau Rosca aka Rodion G.A. Growing up between 1965 and 1972, he took influences both from Eastern European traditions – and the west behind the Iron Curtain, his early electronic music style emerging somewhere between Karat and Kraftwerk, yet crafted with the very limited recording technologies of the place and time. Rosca’s recordings emerged from multitracking himself with a guitar and FX pedals. Listening to his old tapes on a reel-to-reel machine together, he rediscovered the material that BBE are now releasing as his “second” album after The Lost Tapes, giving him well deserved recognition years after their origin.
