Floating Points and Alexander Nut use their excellent Eglo Records base to present a solo release from SA-RA Creative Partners member Shafiq Husayn. As with Husayn’s thought provoking debut LP Shafiq En' A-Free-Ka, the Its Better For You EP draws on a wide palette of musical influence that seeps into every track. Opening cut ‘It’s Better For You’ features Anderson Paak and moulds silky smooth harmonies to a funked-out wah wah guitar riff whereas the gritted hip-hop bounce ‘Re-Incarnation’ is closer to J Dilla’s legendary works.
