Boris Bunnik returns to his Conforce moniker for another ambience-induced techno EP on his long-time label Delsin Records. Depth Over Distance impresses with aquatic precision. The Dutch producer shows off his signature style with subtle percussion and gentle synth work. Throughout the EP, he plays with reverb and airiness: the spacious ‘Closer’ builds up dream-like string textures as soft as snow. This is contrasted by the repetitive ‘Rendez Vous’ which promises potential dance floor usage. The title track combines these two trends in an excellent ambient techno mix.
