Conforce - Boris Bunnik to those who know him - has delivered an LP of curious and pleasing EDM techno here. Inspired by his hometown, the port city of Rotterdam, he yokes together the sounds of the sea, the shore and the industrial apparatus that support the work done around the city’s harbour. As such, we get plenty of murky, offshore 808 grooves as well as keening ambiences and some nice melodies that paddle gently in the shallows.
