Neil Young followed the famed Ditch Trilogy (made up of Time Fades Away, Tonight's the Night, and On the Beach) with Zuma, his seventh album. Returning to the studio with Crazy Horse, he crafted melodic, pop-oriented tunes with an intense rock guitar sound. Lost love abounds on songs such as 'Pardon My Heart' and 'Don't Cry No Tears', while Young gets conceptual while shredding like no other on 'Cortez the Killer', an epic treatise on the Spanish conqueror of Latin America.
