Following their album ‘Days’, Real Estate return with an expanded line-up on Domino with new single ‘Talking Backwards’, preceding a forthcoming album of the same name. A-side ‘Talking Backwards’ is a summery indie pop tune, all twanging guitars and pattering drums, with a subtle underlying melancholy, the singer bemoaning a long-distance relationship which is reaching a low. ‘Beneath The Dunes’ shows the band once more on heartbreaking and beautiful form, with an understated arrangement delivered with a rare crisp clarity.
