London’s AD Bourke follows up releases for Treble O, Nature and Citinite with four luscious jacking cuts for new imprint Five Fold. ‘Prelude’ employs a sharp funk slap-bass and sharper foreground synths, 'Astral' draws upon more classic deep house tropes, with lush mid-range washes buoying up a ticking pulse. Elsewhere, ‘Equinox’ allows crisp percussion to carve a path through subtly disorientating washes of textural fuzz before breaking into a startling brash synth solo which brings a little extrovert glory to a largely understated EP and 'A night in Almeria' closes proceedings with a distant smooth piano that thickens out swelling analogue pads.
