Scenario step up with mini LP / EP release number two from Citinite allumus, AD Bourke. 'Raw Ivy' is pure funk syrup, taking a more organic stance, away from his previous encounter with Citinite. A generous six tracks weave thick, viscous basslines shifting from languid house tempos to obese electro-boogie rhythms - even hints of Detroit's 'blacktechnosoul' lineage. Wonderfully 'out-there' with its experimental approach, yet the warmth of its production is wholly recognisable, making for an utterly compelling listen. Essential.
