The third album from Dutch techno producer Boris Bunnick is his most experimental yet, leaving behind floor-ready 4/4 rhythms for more complex beats, and a chilled-out meditative mood. ‘Abdundance of Selves’ sprinkles analogue bass across a ticking IDM signature; ‘Underwater Settlers’ drops sporadic brass synths over a slippery drum track; and ‘Scientific Trajectory’ is the sound of one of Bunnick’s old techno beats slowly wading through chest-high water. Apparently intended as a soundtrack to the last days of Atlantis, this is Conforce’s trippiest adventure yet.
