Pensaments Sònics further their quest for dense, intricate sound design with the debut album from Nexcyia. Endless Path of Memory bursts at the seams with fertile soundscapes, travelling from tranquillity to sonic geysirs accreting mass. Nexcyia takes a tactile, tangible approach to synthesis and sampling: glass shards crushed into asymmetrical rhythm on ‘Replica’, vibrating jittery plucks on ‘Xero’, brief flashes of air and resonating engine bass woven throughout. With tracks like ‘Tales’, Nexcyia shows sound and frequency to be totally malleable, prismatically splitting and eroding timbres that are turned inside out.
