Larry Heard continues his vault excavation on his own Alleviated Records with a new vinyl release of sessions tracked around the same time as the two now classic late 80’s Gherkin Jerks EPs. While the opening ‘Psychotic Fantasy’ originally surfaced under his own name on the 2000 compilation Dance 2000 Pt. 2, the track is pure Gherkin with its skronky acid chords and digitally distorted hi-hats. The other two tracks on this self-titled EP were previously unheard, and this original “full” take on ‘Ecstasy’ is a must-have for any Heard head.
