If you know the name Hotel2Tango and the post-rock collective who record there, you’ll know what to expect on this debut from studio owner Radwan Ghazi Moumneh. Along with projectionist Maena Sziam Salazar and producer Jérémie Regnier he makes mesmerising Arab electronica, with ‘Ko7l El-3ein, 3emian El-3ein’ blending sitars around synthesized strings, and ‘Yudaghdegh El-ra3ey Walala-Ghanam’ pecking away at keyboards while Bhangra-like vocals swirl in the background. They don’t come much more original sounding or constantly engaging than this.
