UK producer (and one half of analogue synth legends ISAN) Robin Saville lands back on Morr Music for his fourth solo LP entitled Lore. As its cover art suggests, nature played a big role in Saville’s process throughout Lore, with field recordings of the UK’s East Anglia region providing much of the backbone to Saville’s electronic tinkering as well as a solid theme to backdrop the songwriting. Biodiversity was clearly on his mind, and tracks like ‘Judith Avenue’ and ‘Theberton Public Road No. 1’ show off the balance between urban sprawl and the natural environment as birdsong and metropolitan bustle fight for sonic space around Saville’s tender keys and simple percussion.
