Daniel Lopatin’s Oneohtrix Point Never and Rene Hell reveal their respective personal interpretations of the 21st century’s digital metropolis. Lopatin brings us ‘Music for Reliquary House’, a sonic reworking of an audio-visual installation between Lopatin himself and Nate Boyce that forms a hallucinatory assault on the senses with jabbering, restless hive mind encounters. A 2012 human condition of incessant human chatter and incandescent frequencies. Jeff Witsher’s Rene Hell alter-ego meanwhile presents ‘In 1980 I Was a Blue Square’, a suite of five piece for piano, synthesizer and computer, juxtaposing mid-20th century classical music with the hardwired electronic blasts of modern day chaos and confusion.
