American composer Keith Kenniff returns to his Helios moniker for another new LP of stunning electro-acoustic productions entitled Espera. Named after the Spanish word for wait, Espera is certainly a patient affair, with its charms unfolding gracefully and with great care. Perched somewhere between elegiac post-rock, dub techno, and ambient music, tracks like ‘Impossible Valleys’ and ‘Lowland’ are among Helios’ most evocative productions to date. He encapsulates breathtaking vistas here merely with a couple of guitars and synths.
