Bleep

This new album by ‘Beak>’ is the sophomore release by Portishead’s Geoff Barrow along with the alliance of Billy Fuller and Matt Williams. The ten tracks presented grip on to classic Krautrock themes with motorik rhythms and a sense of hypnotism that is both psychedelic and terrorising. Yet, although it is very slight there are also moments indebted to Portishead’s legacy with a doom-filled, ghostly sense of space. Much recommended.
