The provocative pairing of Dean Blunt and Inga Copeland (better known an Hype Williams) return with what you’ll be surprised to know is their third album, ‘Black is Beautiful’. As ever their work comes immersed in a cloak of intrigue and mystery. Copeland’s vocals are breathy and inviting and lend themselves to hyperactive footwork rhythms and well as they do to star-gazing pop nostalgia. Keyboard and drum patterns weave delirious and innovative patterns that speak as much about psychedelia as they do about soul.
