Lex Records supergroup NEVERMEN is a power trio unto itself comprised of Tunde Adebimpe (TV on the Radio) , Adam "Doseone" Drucker (Anticon founder and member of Clouddead, Themselves & Subtle) not to mention the legendary Mike Patton (of Faith No More fame and many, MANY more...) As if that wasn't enough already in 2017 now at long last available again, they also lured Boards of Canada from an eight year remix slumber with an enchanting rework of their track ‘Mr Mistake’, continuing in the duo’s dusty desert psychedelia mode of 2013’s Tomorrow’s Harvest, . Taken from NEVERMEN's debut album, is immediately transformed from the original’s creative explosions, with blurry lilting chords underlining vocals drenched in wisps. It’s a curious contrast between brightly playful harmonies and traded lyrical fragments, and downtempo electronics that play wistfully before bursting with stuttering rock passages lifted into open air.
