Having just caught our breath after their previous bass bomb Over/Shadow give us some mindful reprieve with latest drop from the don, Nookie. With a noted career and output on such all time greats as Reinforced Records, Good Looking Records, his own Phuzion Records, and of course Over/Shadow's classic '90s incarnation. Gavin Cheung breaks for the artcore on OSH/08. On the vocal led roller Love Less Chaos he's joined by Ruth Royall the vocalist for Bristol based outfit, Paper Dragon who provides warmth and deep atmosphere floating alongside buoyant chords above the rattling percussion and low slung pads. On the flip we delve into Got Soul taking Bobby Bird's indelible chant down an octave and compressing it into a spiritual roller replete with pearly gates piano stabs. As always, one for the true heads: you got it, you got it!
