Kynant Ex is a brand new offshoot of Berlin label Kynant Records, which operates principally in the mistier, hypnotic deep end of techno and its many forms. The first record comes from O Yuki Conjugate - a cult UK band who’ve been creating intermittently since way back in 1982, and who’ve honed their own unique take on understated, post-industrial ambient. For Artefacts, on the A-side they’ve reworked ‘Forgotten Summer’ from their 2019 album Sleepwalker into a brooding, slo-mo downtempo number adorned with filtered soundscaping. ‘Empire’ and ‘Debauchery’ on the B-side are unshackled & darkly hallucinogenic - beatless ambience guided with expert precision.
