The third record from Northern Ireland's Barry Lynn aka Boxcutter, is arguably the strongest to date. Expanding his sonic palette outwards, Arecibo Message is meticulously programmed, stopping off en-route at 'ardkore, bleep, digi-funk and jazz. Mind melting b-lines coarse here, textured analogue synths hook you in, while tracks like ' Lamp Post Funk' 'Spacebass' are neon kissed cyber-p-funk extravaganzas. An atmospheric, endlessly intriguing work.
