Kompakt's long-time running ambient series returns with some pleasing new additions to the palette in 2009. Canadian sound artist Tim Hecker comes to the Pop... fold, best known for his intricate designs in dissonant noise and epic spaces. Alongside Hecker is the well respected, uber prolific French modern composer Sylvain Chaveau. What will set the flickering flames alight for many however is the return of Kompakt boss and GAS-man Wolfgang Voight in his long sleeping Mint guise. Perfect music for those frosty, wet and windy times...
