Year Long Disaster/Karma to Burn/CKY fellow Daniel Davies also has plenty of experience in the world of film-scoring - he’s worked on the soundtracks for I, Frankenstein, Condemned and the 2018 Halloween remake. It’s no surprise, then, that his new solo LP Signals should have such a cinematic feel to it. This is murky and magnificent electronic music from Davies which channels his frequent collaborator John Carpenter (who appears as a guest on ‘Destructive Field’), Rival Consoles, Ben Frost and Johnny Jewel.
