The Heliocentrics are such a good fit for Madlib’s Madlib Invazion imprint that it is somewhat surprising to find out their new LP Infinity Of Now is the group’s first release on the label. This is a typically heady brew from arguably the UK’s premier psych-jazz ensemble. Space-rock, prog, Afrobeat, Krautrock and David Axelrod’s library-pop style are all in play here. The result is a vibrant record which sounds like The Comet Is Coming sparring with The Africa 70.
