The man who needs no introduction comes through with a release that serves as an introduction. For those who may not be familiar with Craig’s work - in name, at least - Sessions sees the man himself selecting some of his best-loved tracks, and these are also collated together into a mix at the end. Having much of Craig’s pioneering work in one place is handy for joining the dots in his musical evolution, and also as a sort of map for the evolution of Detroit techno as a whole, so influential has he been over the years. ‘Sandstorms’, sadly, is not a Darude remix.
