DJ Firmeza leaps back into action with a new EP for Príncipe. The Lisbon imprint also hosted Firmeza’s previous EP, 2015 breakout Alma Do Meu Pai, and once again the pair prove a great match for each other on Ardeu. This is a set of spring-coiled club fare that combines Batida and Kuduro with hard techno. At its most devilish - ‘RRRRRR’, ‘Intenso’ - Ardeu recalls a more loose-limbed take on the fearsome flexes of Rizzla and some of their other Fade To Mind contemporaries. The Ardeu EP also features some off-the-cuff club-caller vocals that bring even more energy to the proceedings.
