Channeling all that is good and proper from Portugal’s prosperous music scene, Principe Discos have truly outdone themselves with this 23-tracker. With a wealth of label debuts and key new material from the scenes’ core players, there’s enough greatness to bruck out a dance till you can’t no more. The waved out techno from Niagara is a good starting point for those not used to the traditional batida rhythms many of the producers use, though if you want to dive in deep, ‘Ruba Soldja’ by DJ Maboku is a raw and authentic way to do so.
