The eponymous debut LP from Thought Forms turns 10 in 2019, so to commemorate the occasion the band’s label Invada have decided to reissue the record on fetching pink vinyl. This collection of cinematic and brooding instrumental rock numbers really set the tone for where Invada would go in the subsequent years - for instance, the first Beak> LP came quite soon after Thought Forms. That said, Thought Forms were also unafraid to open their sound up to lush textures - Explosions In The Sky are recalled on tracks like ‘We Would Be So Happy If…’, while the ‘Sonny’ interlude is a grainy drone ala James Leyland Kirby.
