There are only so many ways to write about techno. Thumping, pulsating, four on the floor, euphoric are always the first descriptives you’re tempted to work against. But these are wholly appropriate for the Jensen Interceptor’s grade A+ banger ‘Smoke’. It’s all there: a machine bass drum buzzing off the charts, a heavy sequencer shading the corners until a hi hat is employed to receive that classic symbol of techno bliss, a chiming cowbell.
