Dan Curtin shows the young pretenders how it’s done with his latest EP. The Lush Network contains four elegant wedges that take in house, techno and broken beats. ‘Flight Lush’ and ‘The Fundamental Mind’ are gorgeously wistful tracks that still pack a punch in the drums. ‘Perfume & Cigarettes’ is a classy Detroit-indebted number, and the rolling ‘It’s What You Wanted’ nods to the mid-90’s heyday of Matthew Herbert. The Lush Network is yet another great record from the veteran producer.
