First released in 2001, Seance on Hobbs lane is what Ghostbox believe to be a lost classic of British electronics in the tradition of eccentric but brilliant British early electronic composers such as Tristram Carey and Desmond Leslie. Masterminded by esteemed Glasgow based composer and psychogeographer, Drew Mulholland, it featured collaborations with the late great Jhon Balance from Coil, Adrian Utley of Portishead, Barry 7 of Add N to X and a variety other talented artists. The music is a mixture of vintage electronics, tape music and esoteric electronic high strangeness. The cover booklet includes liner notes by the author Lawrence Norfolk (Lempri???re's Dictionary, The Pope's Rhinoceros ) and incredible centre spread artwork by our own Mr.Julian House.
