A new six track album from the Editions Mego camp is always a good thing. For ‘On A Fateful Morning’ Christina Nemec (Chra) explores vast and unknown electro-acoustic landscapes with the eleven minute epic ‘Cognitive Ease’. Real deal psychonaut material that reminds us somewhat of the ambient leaning work of Gwen Jamois (Iueke). The rest of the LP follows suit with processed audio samples and world weary field recordings that bear a striking similarity to Moniek Darge’s ‘Turkish Square’. Eerie and evocative music that manages to be at once deeply personal and troublingly unfamiliar.
