Remember back in 2013 when it seemed like ‘Hackney Parrot’ got played at every night you went to? Remember how good that was? Get ready for it all over again. While the track was plenty tough to begin with, a serial system-blower like Tessela clearly couldn’t resist the chance to soup it up even further. This ‘10 Ton Mix’ strips what little fat there was off of the original to create a pretty monstrous new version, all booming kicks and fizzing hats. B-side ‘Headland’ hardly takes it easy either, offering up an insistent locked groove that sweeps you up in its tide. Great stuff.
